Scaling government school STEM labs in 2026? Discover how ProGame Tactile Plus delivers browser-based, accessible coding for visually impaired students across India at scale.

India has 14.7 lakh schools and 24.8 crore students — yet scaling a STEM lab programme that leaves no learner behind remains one of education policy's hardest unsolved problems. When Samagra Shiksha inclusion cells and state education departments ask how to implement STEM at scale without marginalising students with visual impairments, the answer demands a rethink of what a 'lab' actually means. ProGame Tactile Plus by Next Skills 360 offers exactly that rethink — a browser-based, accessibility-first coding and AI programme built for India's most underserved classrooms.

Why 'At Scale' and 'Inclusive' Must Mean the Same Thing in 2026

The policy direction is clear. NEP 2020 mandates computational thinking from Class 6, and CBSE has formalised this with a mandate of 100 hours per year of Computational Thinking and AI for Classes 6–8, effective from academic year 2026-27. For a system of 14.7 lakh schools and 24.8 crore students (UDISE+ 2024-25), this is an unprecedented curriculum intervention.

The infrastructure reality, though, is sobering. According to UDISE+ 2023-24, only 57% of India's schools have working computers and only 54% have internet connectivity. Nearly half of all schools cannot reliably access device-dependent coding programmes — and the students most affected are those already at the margins, particularly learners with visual impairments in both special schools and inclusive mainstream classrooms.

When scale mandates are built on device-heavy, visually-oriented infrastructure, they do not merely fall short — they actively exclude the most vulnerable. True government school STEM lab implementation at scale must be accessibility-first by design, not by afterthought.

The Hidden Bottleneck: Visually Impaired Students in Government STEM Labs

Even when a government school successfully procures devices and establishes a STEM lab, a critical exclusion problem persists. Mainstream STEM lab software is overwhelmingly visual-first — block-based programming environments, drag-and-drop interfaces, and screen-dependent feedback systems that screen readers cannot navigate meaningfully. For students with visual impairments, the lab becomes a space they attend but cannot participate in.

This challenge is identical whether the setting is a dedicated school for the blind or an inclusive mainstream school with visually impaired students in a shared classroom. The tool, not the setting, is the barrier.

Next Skills 360 has worked directly with this reality. Since 2020, NS360's inclusive skilling programmes have impacted 500+ students with disabilities across India — demonstrating both the depth of the need and the proof that structured, accessible programming is achievable at school scale.

ProGame Tactile Plus is NS360's direct answer: a browser-based, accessibility-first coding and AI programme covering computational thinking, AI literacy, social-emotional skills, career guidance, and financial literacy — designed for Classes 5 and above, and navigable entirely through assistive technology.

What Makes ProGame Tactile Plus Deployable at Government-School Scale

The single greatest enemy of government-scale STEM rollouts is procurement complexity. Server requirements, proprietary devices, lab retrofits, and installation dependencies have derailed well-funded programmes before they reach students. ProGame Tactile Plus eliminates these bottlenecks by design.

Its browser-based architecture means no app installation, no proprietary hardware, and no lab reconfiguration. Any school with access to an internet-connected device — shared or individual — can deploy it for Classes 5 and above. For state education departments, this translates directly into rollout speed.

NS360's deployment credibility supports this claim. Since 2020, Next Skills 360 has been deployed in 1,200+ schools across India, with a presence across 15 Indian states and 10,000+ trained educators onboarded at scale. NS360 has partnered with Infosys Foundation and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) on skilling programmes, reinforcing its institutional reliability for government-scale engagements.

A Harvard Business Publishing case study — "Teaching Coding Without Computers" (case W37092) — further establishes NS360 as a recognised thought leader in scalable, inclusive skilling.

Curriculum Alignment: Meeting NEP 2020 and CBSE Mandates for All Learners

A common concern among Samagra Shiksha inclusion cells is whether accessible coding programmes run as parallel tracks that fall short of mainstream curriculum benchmarks. ProGame Tactile Plus is designed to close that gap entirely.

The programme covers five domains: computational thinking and coding, AI literacy, social-emotional skills, career guidance, and financial literacy. This maps directly to NEP 2020's vision of holistic development — moving beyond rote academic content toward future-ready, life-relevant skills — and aligns with the CBSE 100-hour Computational Thinking and AI mandate for Classes 6–8 from 2026-27.

Crucially, students with visual impairments using ProGame Tactile Plus are not on a reduced syllabus. They are meeting the same curriculum benchmarks as their mainstream peers, delivered through an accessible interface rather than a visual one. This is the distinction that matters for inclusion cell reporting, IEP documentation, and equity-focused programme evaluation.

NS360's broader reach — 240,000+ students impacted across India since 2020 — reflects the curriculum-aligned scale at which these programmes operate.

Implementation Playbook for State Education Departments and Inclusion Cells

For Samagra Shiksha Inclusion Cells and state IT/CS heads considering a ProGame Tactile Plus rollout, the implementation pathway is practical and low-friction:

1. Map your network — identify special schools for the visually impaired and inclusive mainstream schools within the district or state portfolio.
2. Audit device availability — ProGame Tactile Plus requires only a browser-capable device; shared devices are fully sufficient and no per-student device procurement is needed.
3. Orient educators rapidly — NS360's training model has produced 10,000+ trained educators across India, demonstrating that large-scale educator onboarding is operationally achievable within tight government timelines.
4. Deploy for Classes 5 and above — the programme is structured and curriculum-mapped from day one.
5. Track and report progress — the broader ProGame Tactile programme ecosystem includes a teacher LMS and real-time analytics dashboard, enabling inclusion cells to monitor participation, completion, and learning outcomes at the school and district level.

The browser-based model removes the procurement and logistics barriers that typically stall government-scale rollouts, making Phase 1 deployment achievable within a single academic term.

Scaling with Confidence: Recognition, Evidence and the Road Ahead

For state education officials making programme commitments, institutional validation matters. Next Skills 360 has received 14 international and national recognitions — a body of evidence that the approach has been independently assessed and affirmed by credible institutions globally and within India.

These include selection as an MIT Solver (MIT SOLVE programme), the AI for Humanity Prize from the McGovern Foundation, the ElevatED Award from Dell Technologies India and MeitY, and the SKOCH Award for the Telangana Early Coders (TeC) Project — among ten further national and international honours. NS360's inclusive skilling work has also been covered by The Hindu Business Line, adding editorial credibility to its social impact narrative.

So where does this leave us as we plan India's government school STEM lab rollouts in 2026? With one clear imperative: scale that excludes is not scale. Every rollout plan that assumes visual-first interfaces and device-heavy infrastructure will fall short of its own mandate — and fall short of the students who need it most.

ProGame Tactile Plus by Next Skills 360 is built for the India that actually exists: under-resourced, beautifully diverse, and ready for a STEM future that belongs to every learner.

Government School STEM Lab Implementation at Scale in 2026

Planning a government school STEM lab per CBSE guidelines? Discover how to make labs inclusive for visually impaired students with ProGame Tactile Plus in 2026.

CBSE has mandated 100 hours per year of Computational Thinking and AI for Classes 6–8 starting academic year 2026-27 — and government schools across India are now racing to set up compliant STEM labs. But here is the question most lab planners are not asking: are these new STEM labs truly accessible to every student, including those with visual impairments? With India's Samagra Shiksha framework explicitly calling for inclusive education, designing a STEM lab that meets CBSE guidelines and serves students with disabilities is no longer optional — it is the standard.

What CBSE Guidelines Actually Require for STEM Labs in 2026

The CBSE mandate for 100 hours per year of Computational Thinking and AI for Classes 6–8 from academic year 2026-27 builds directly on NEP 2020's vision of embedding computational thinking into mainstream schooling from Class 6 onwards. For government schools operating under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, this means STEM lab setups must align with both the curriculum directive and the framework's broader inclusion commitments.

The scale of this challenge is real. According to UDISE+ 2024-25, India has 14.7 lakh schools serving 24.8 crore students — one of the largest school education systems in the world. Rolling out compliant, functional STEM labs across this landscape demands solutions that are curriculum-aligned and practical to deploy at volume. For Samagra Shiksha Inclusion Cell officers and school IT heads, the mandate is clear: computational thinking education must reach every student, in every classroom, without exception.

The Inclusion Gap: Why Most STEM Lab Plans Fall Short

The default template for a school STEM lab — monitors, mouse-keyboard navigation, and visually driven interfaces — excludes students with visual impairments from the outset. Inclusion is rarely factored into procurement decisions at the planning stage, and retrofitting accessibility into an already-built lab is costly, slow, and often incomplete.

The infrastructure reality compounds this problem. According to UDISE+ 2023-24, only 57% of India's schools have working computers and only 54% have internet connectivity — meaning device-heavy, connectivity-dependent solutions are impractical for nearly half of all government schools before accessibility is even considered.

Next Skills 360 has impacted 500+ students with disabilities through its inclusive skilling programmes since 2020 — evidence that inclusive computational thinking education is not only necessary but entirely achievable. The lesson for planners is clear: accessibility must be a design requirement, not an afterthought.

What an Accessible, CBSE-Aligned STEM Lab Setup Looks Like

A genuinely inclusive, CBSE-compliant STEM lab is built around three non-negotiable pillars: curriculum alignment, assistive technology compatibility, and teacher readiness.

On the curriculum side, the solution must cover coding and AI literacy in a way that maps to the 100-hour Computational Thinking mandate. On accessibility, software must be fully navigable using standard assistive technology — particularly screen readers — so schools are not forced to source expensive specialist hardware that delays procurement and strains state budgets.

NEP 2020's vision of holistic skilling goes beyond coding alone. An inclusive STEM lab should support AI literacy, social-emotional learning, career guidance, and financial literacy — skills that prepare all students, including those with disabilities, for meaningful futures. When these elements come together in a single, accessible platform, schools can meet compliance requirements and deliver genuine student outcomes at the same time.

ProGame Tactile Plus: Built for Inclusive STEM Labs from Day One

ProGame Tactile Plus, developed by Next Skills 360, is a browser-based, accessibility-first block programming environment designed specifically for students with visual impairments in Classes 5 and above. It is fully navigable with standard assistive technology — screen readers included — with no reliance on sight at any point in the learning experience.

Its scope goes well beyond coding. ProGame Tactile Plus covers coding, AI literacy, social-emotional skills, career guidance, and financial literacy — making it a comprehensive skilling tool aligned with NEP 2020's holistic vision, not simply a standalone coding application. It sits within NS360's dedicated Inclusive Skilling suite and extends the ProGame Tactile programme for browser-based delivery.

NS360's credentials speak to real-world impact: deployed across 1,200+ schools in 15 Indian states, with 240,000+ students impacted since 2020 and 10,000+ educators trained. The company has earned 14 national and international recognitions, including MIT Solver and the AI for Humanity Prize from the McGovern Foundation — signals of both credibility and scale.

Step-by-Step: Setting Up a CBSE-Compliant Inclusive STEM Lab

For Samagra Shiksha Inclusion Cell officers and school administrators, here is a practical framework for a compliant, inclusive STEM lab rollout:

1. Audit existing infrastructure for assistive technology readiness — identify which devices have screen reader support already enabled.
2. Select browser-based, screen-reader-compatible tools such as ProGame Tactile Plus to avoid specialist device procurement bottlenecks and reduce lead time.
3. Map the chosen solution's curriculum to CBSE's 100-hour Computational Thinking and AI requirement, ensuring coding and AI components are both covered.
4. Plan teacher orientation — NS360's track record of training 10,000+ educators across India demonstrates that effective, scalable teacher readiness is achievable without long timelines.
5. Document inclusion compliance — record assistive technology compatibility, student disability coverage, and curriculum alignment for Samagra Shiksha reporting and audit purposes.

Building this checklist into the procurement and planning process from week one ensures compliance is structural, not cosmetic.

Making the Case to Decision-Makers: Inclusion, Compliance, and Scale

For State Education Department officials and Samagra Shiksha Inclusion Cell leaders, inclusive STEM lab design is both a legal compliance imperative and a reputational opportunity. States that lead on accessible computational thinking education send a clear signal: their Samagra Shiksha implementation goes beyond infrastructure — it delivers genuine educational equity.

Next Skills 360's approach to inclusive skilling has been recognised not just through awards but through rigorous academic documentation. A Harvard Business Publishing case study — titled "Teaching Coding Without Computers" (case W37092) — examines NS360's model, lending independent credibility that decision-makers can reference in policy discussions and procurement justifications.

With deployment across 15 Indian states, NS360 has demonstrated the multi-state operational capability that large-scale government programmes demand. ProGame Tactile Plus is ready to integrate into your STEM lab rollout plan — delivering CBSE compliance, Samagra Shiksha inclusion alignment, and meaningful outcomes for students with visual impairments, at scale.

Government School STEM Labs Setup: CBSE Guidelines 2026

Discover how India's government schools can deploy a primary school AI learning tool aligned to NEP 2020 and NIPUN Bharat—browser-based, accessible, and inclusion-ready. 155 chars.

India has 14.7 lakh schools and 24.8 crore students, yet fewer than half have reliable internet or working computers—making the hunt for a credible primary school AI learning tool for government scheme rollouts both urgent and complicated. As Samagra Shiksha inclusion cells and state education departments race to meet NEP 2020 mandates and NIPUN Bharat vocabulary targets, the question is no longer whether to adopt AI-powered learning, but which platform can actually reach every child—including students with visual impairments—without a single hardware bottleneck. NextSkills360's ProGame Tactile Plus was built precisely for that gap.

Why Government Schools Need an Accessible AI Learning Tool Right Now

The policy clock is ticking. NEP 2020 mandates computational thinking from Class 6, and CBSE has formalised this with a requirement of 100 hours per year of Computational Thinking and AI for Classes 6–8 from academic year 2026-27. Yet UDISE+ data tells a sobering story: of India's 14.7 lakh schools serving 24.8 crore students, only 57% have working computers and only 54% have internet connectivity. That means nearly half of all government schools cannot access device-dependent solutions—and students with disabilities are disproportionately excluded.

For Samagra Shiksha inclusion cells, this creates a dual accountability pressure: demonstrate measurable learning outcomes and measurable inclusion outcomes. Evaluating a primary school AI learning tool for government scheme India therefore demands a platform that sidesteps device-procurement bottlenecks entirely. A browser-based, screen-reader-compatible environment that works on existing hardware—however modest—is no longer a premium feature. It is a baseline requirement for equitable, government-grade deployment.

What Makes ProGame Tactile Plus Different from Standard EdTech Platforms

ProGame Tactile Plus is a browser-based, accessibility-first block programming environment designed specifically for navigation with assistive technology, serving students with visual impairments in Classes 5 and above. Unlike device-heavy platforms that treat accessibility as an afterthought, ProGame Tactile Plus is built from the ground up for screen-reader compatibility—meaning a student with visual impairment navigates the same rich coding and AI environment as any sighted peer, without workarounds or compromises.

As an extension of the ProGame Tactile programme, it covers not only block-based coding and AI literacy, but also social-emotional skills, career guidance, and financial literacy—making it a genuinely holistic FLN EdTech platform for government schools that goes far beyond basic programming instruction. This breadth matters to district procurement officers who need a single, auditable solution addressing multiple NEP 2020 learning outcomes.

NS360's deployment track record reinforces that confidence: 1,200+ schools across 15 Indian states, 240,000+ students impacted, and 500+ students with disabilities reached since the company's founding in 2020.

Alignment with NIPUN Bharat, FLN Goals, and Inclusive Education Policy

India's NIPUN Bharat framework sets foundational literacy and numeracy targets for Classes 1–5, with an implicit promise that every child—regardless of ability—will achieve grade-appropriate competencies. ProGame Tactile Plus honours that promise by ensuring students with visual impairments are not left behind in the computational and AI skill-building that underpins future foundational digital literacy.

For government buyers evaluating a NIPUN Bharat assessment-ready vocabulary program alongside digital skilling tools, NS360 offers a complementary solution: Chitram, NS360's AI-powered multilingual vocabulary platform for Classes 1–5, which personalises vocabulary feedback in both the child's mother tongue and English through a doodle-based draw-to-learn method—positioning it as a natural bilingual vocabulary app for Indian primary schools that supports NIPUN Bharat literacy targets directly.

Together, ProGame Tactile Plus and Chitram address both the inclusion pillar and the literacy pillar of India's foundational learning agenda—giving state education departments a coherent, policy-aligned NS360 portfolio rather than disconnected point solutions.

How State Education Departments and Samagra Shiksha Cells Can Procure and Deploy ProGame Tactile Plus

Because ProGame Tactile Plus is browser-based, it integrates immediately into any device a school already owns—desktop, laptop, or tablet—with no new hardware procurement, no server setup, and no software installation beyond a compatible screen reader. For district-level buyers working within fixed annual budgets and government procurement timelines, this is a meaningful practical advantage.

The deployment pathway is straightforward: the school or district identifies students with visual impairments, confirms existing devices and screen-reader availability, and schedules teacher orientation support through NS360's training infrastructure. Progress data is trackable and reportable, supporting Samagra Shiksha inclusion outcome documentation.

NS360's scale credentials validate government-grade readiness: 1,200+ schools deployed, 10,000+ trainers and educators trained, presence across 15 states. Recognition from MIT Solver, the ElevatED Award (Dell Technologies India and MeitY), and the SKOCH Award provides the third-party credibility that government procurement committees rightly require before committing public funds.

Real-World Impact: NS360's Inclusive Skilling Credentials

Evidence matters more than claims in government procurement, and NS360's track record is independently verifiable. Since its founding in Hyderabad in 2020, NS360 has reached 500+ students with disabilities through dedicated inclusive skilling programmes—a figure that gives district inclusion officers a concrete baseline for projecting impact.

The company's work has attracted serious institutional attention. Infosys Foundation and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) have both partnered with NS360 on Skilling WITHOUT Computers projects. A Harvard Business Publishing case study—"Teaching Coding Without Computers" (case W37092)—documents the model's innovation. Coverage in The Hindu Business Line has brought NS360's inclusive approach to mainstream policy audiences.

NS360 has received 14 international and national recognitions, including awards from MIT SOLVE, the McGovern Foundation, Vodafone Americas Foundation, Dell Technologies India and MeitY, and NASSCOM Foundation. For state government buyers also evaluating a bilingual vocabulary app for Indian primary schools, NS360's broader FLN portfolio—anchored by Chitram—demonstrates that the company's inclusive AI skilling mission extends across every stage of primary learning.

Choosing the Right Primary School AI Learning Tool for Your Government Scheme

State and district education officers evaluating AI learning tools under government schemes should apply a clear, five-point framework:

1. Is it accessible to students with visual impairments? ProGame Tactile Plus is built entirely for screen-reader navigation—no visual reliance required.

2. Does it work on existing devices without new procurement? Yes. Browser-based deployment means zero additional hardware spend.

3. Does it align with NEP 2020 and CBSE's 2026-27 computational thinking mandate? ProGame Tactile Plus covers coding, AI literacy, and future-ready skills directly mapped to these requirements.

# AI-Integrated STEM Curriculum for Indian Government Schools 2026

India's government schools are under pressure to deliver AI-integrated STEM curriculum at scale — but most EdTech solutions quietly leave students with visual impairments behind. With CBSE mandating 100 hours of Computational Thinking and AI for Classes 6–8 from 2026-27 and NEP 2020 pushing coding from Class 6, the urgency is real. The question is not whether to integrate AI into STEM learning — it is how to do it in a way that reaches every student, including the 500+ learners with disabilities already impacted by NextSkills360 programmes across India.

Why 2026 Is a Turning Point for AI-Integrated STEM in Indian Government Schools

India's school education system is one of the largest in the world — 14.7 lakh schools and 24.8 crore students (UDISE+ 2024-25). Delivering meaningful, curriculum-aligned AI-integrated STEM learning across this system is not a distant aspiration; it is now a policy mandate with a deadline.

CBSE has confirmed 100 hours per year of Computational Thinking and AI for Classes 6–8, beginning academic year 2026-27. NEP 2020 independently directs that computational thinking and coding begin from Class 6. Together, these policies create a non-negotiable implementation window for state education departments and Samagra Shiksha programme officers.

This is not a trend to monitor — it is a structural shift requiring procurement decisions, teacher readiness planning, and infrastructure assessment right now. For states managing thousands of government schools simultaneously, the challenge is not awareness of the mandate. The challenge is identifying scalable, accessible solutions that can be deployed at the speed and breadth that India's school system demands.

The Inclusion Gap No One Is Talking About in AI-STEM Rollouts

As state departments move to meet the 2026-27 AI-STEM mandate, a critical gap is emerging in plain sight: most AI-integrated STEM platforms are built exclusively for sighted, device-equipped learners. Students with visual impairments — enrolled in Special Schools and increasingly in inclusive mainstream schools — are being systematically excluded from the digital skilling wave.

The infrastructure challenge compounds this. According to UDISE+ 2023-24, only 57% of India's schools have working computers and only 54% have internet connectivity. Nearly half of all government schools cannot access device-dependent coding programmes at all. For students with visual impairments, the barriers go even further: mainstream EdTech solutions rarely build in compatibility with screen readers or other assistive technology tools.

Samagra Shiksha Inclusion Cell officers and mainstream school IT heads are left facing a stark reality — the solutions being procured for the majority are inaccessible to some of the most vulnerable learners in the system. Inclusion cannot be retrofitted after the fact. It must be built in from the design stage.

ProGame Tactile Plus: Browser-Based, Accessible AI-STEM for Every Learner

ProGame Tactile Plus by NextSkills360 is designed precisely to close this gap. It is a browser-based, accessibility-first block programming environment built for navigation with assistive technology — including screen readers and other AT tools — enabling students with visual impairments to engage fully with coding and AI learning without barriers.

The curriculum scope goes well beyond basic coding. ProGame Tactile Plus covers AI literacy, social-emotional skills, career guidance, and financial literacy — making it a genuinely holistic STEM and life-skills platform, not a narrow programming tool. It is designed for Classes 5 and above, aligning directly with NEP 2020's computational thinking mandate and CBSE's 2026-27 requirements.

Browser-based delivery matters enormously in government school contexts. There are no app installation dependencies, no platform-specific device requirements, and no conflicts with existing assistive technology configurations. For schools already running screen-reader setups for students with visual impairments, ProGame Tactile Plus integrates into what is already in place — reducing deployment friction significantly.

How NextSkills360 Backs Inclusive AI-STEM With Proven Scale

In EdTech procurement, credibility is earned through track record, not just product features — and NextSkills360 brings both. Since 2020, 240,000+ students have been impacted across India, with deployments across 1,200+ schools in 15 Indian states. The company has trained 10,000+ trainers and educators, building the human infrastructure that sustains programme delivery well beyond initial rollout.

For inclusive skilling specifically, NextSkills360's programmes have directly impacted 500+ students with disabilities — a verified foundation on which ProGame Tactile Plus builds further.

Recognition from globally respected bodies adds independent validation. NextSkills360 has been selected for the MIT Solver programme and has received the AI for Humanity Prize from the McGovern Foundation, among 14 national and international awards. A case study titled "Teaching Coding Without Computers" (case W37092) is published and distributed through Harvard Business Publishing — providing the kind of third-party academic validation that state-level procurement decision-makers can cite with confidence.

What State Education Departments Should Look For in an Inclusive AI-STEM Solution

For Samagra Shiksha Inclusion Cell officers and IT/CS Department Heads evaluating AI-integrated STEM curriculum options, the following criteria offer a practical procurement framework:

- Assistive technology compatibility — Does the solution work with screen readers and AT tools out of the box, or is accessibility an afterthought?
- Low-dependency delivery — Is the solution browser-based or otherwise functional without complex device procurement or installation?
- AI literacy, not just coding — Does the curriculum cover AI concepts alongside programming, meeting the full CBSE 2026-27 mandate?
- NEP 2020 and CBSE alignment — Is the content structured for Classes 5–8 with verified curriculum mapping?
- Proven government school deployment — Has the solution been deployed at scale across government schools, not just private institutions?
- Holistic skill coverage — Does it include life skills, career readiness, and social-emotional learning alongside technical content?

ProGame Tactile Plus addresses each of these criteria — browser-based, screen-reader compatible, AI-literacy inclusive, NEP and CBSE aligned, and backed by deployment across 1,200+ schools in 15 states.

Building a Future-Ready and Truly Inclusive Classroom in 2026

The 2026-27 CBSE mandate for AI-integrated STEM is a genuine opportunity to transform how India's government school students — all of them — engage with the technologies shaping their futures. But that transformation only delivers its full promise when every learner has a seat at the table, including students with visual impairments in both special and inclusive mainstream schools.

ProGame Tactile Plus exists because inclusion is not a supplementary feature to be added once the mainstream rollout is complete. It is the foundation on which any credible AI-STEM programme must be built. Browser-based, assistive-tech compatible, curriculum-aligned, and developed by a team with a demonstrated track record across 1,200+ schools and 15 Indian states — it represents what genuinely inclusive digital skilling looks like in practice.

As state departments finalise their 2026-27 implementation plans, the most important question is not just which coding platform to procure — it is which platform will reach every student. That standard is the only one worth meeting.

AI-Integrated STEM Curriculum for Indian Government Schools 2026

Explore 2026's best teacher upskilling programs for robotics and coding, including ProGame Tactile Plus — NS360's accessible block programming tool for visually impaired students.

As CBSE mandates 100 hours per year of Computational Thinking and AI for Classes 6–8 from 2026-27, schools across India are racing to upskill their teachers — but most training programs were never designed with inclusion in mind. For the millions of students with visual impairments enrolled in special and mainstream schools, the gap between policy ambition and classroom reality remains wide. Teacher upskilling programs for robotics and coding must now evolve to equip educators who teach every learner, not just the mainstream majority.

Why Teacher Upskilling for Coding and Robotics Is Urgent in 2026

India's school education system is one of the largest in the world — 14.7 lakh schools serving 24.8 crore students (UDISE+ 2024-25). With CBSE's 2026-27 mandate now confirmed, Computational Thinking and AI education is no longer optional for Classes 6–8. Yet the urgency of this transition is colliding with a deeply uneven reality on the ground.

Most existing teacher training programmes assume access to functioning computer labs, reliable internet, and sighted learners — conditions that simply do not hold across a significant share of Indian schools. Educators in special schools for the visually impaired, and IT department heads managing inclusive mainstream classrooms, have been largely left out of the upskilling conversation.

Without inclusion-aware training, students with visual impairments risk being systematically excluded from the coding and AI education that their peers receive. In 2026, that is not just an equity failure — it is a policy failure. Addressing it begins with redesigning teacher upskilling from the ground up, with every learner in mind.

The Inclusion Gap in Most Robotics and Coding Training Programmes

Walk into any standard teacher training workshop for robotics or coding, and you will find curricula built entirely around sighted learners: visual block editors, screen-dependent activities, and interfaces that are inaccessible to learners who rely on screen readers or keyboard navigation. Special school teachers and inclusive IT department heads are being handed tools that simply do not work for their students.

This gap is systemic, not incidental. Inclusive coding education for visually impaired students requires a fundamentally different pedagogical toolkit — one that most mainstream training providers have never developed.

This is precisely where Next Skills 360 (NS360) has been building differently. Since 2020, NS360 has trained 10,000+ trainers and educators across India and has impacted 500+ students with disabilities through its dedicated inclusive skilling programmes — evidence that inclusion-aware educator training is not only possible, but scalable. Closing the inclusion gap in teacher upskilling starts by acknowledging that it exists, and then choosing solutions designed specifically to bridge it.

What Makes an Effective Inclusive Coding Upskilling Programme

Effective teacher upskilling for inclusive coding classrooms rests on four clear pillars. First, familiarity with assistive technology — educators need confidence navigating screen readers, keyboard-only interfaces, and audio-first learning environments. Second, hands-on experience with accessible block-based programming tools that work seamlessly with the assistive technology their students already use. Third, pedagogical strategies tailored to audio-first and tactile learners, including sequencing instruction without visual cues and providing audio-based feedback loops.

Fourth — and critically — curriculum alignment from Class 5 upwards, ensuring that what teachers learn to deliver is directly relevant to their students' grade levels and learning goals.

Here is something we find ourselves saying often: teachers do not need deep technical backgrounds to succeed. What they need is structured orientation, purpose-built tools, and the confidence that comes from practising on accessible platforms before entering the classroom. NS360's approach to educator upskilling is designed to lower every one of these barriers, making inclusion-ready coding instruction achievable for any motivated teacher.

ProGame Tactile Plus: The Tool That Makes Teacher Upskilling Stick

At the centre of NS360's accessible coding education offer is ProGame Tactile Plus — a browser-based, block-based programming environment built specifically for students with visual impairments. Designed for accessible navigation with assistive technology and suitable for Classes 5 and above, ProGame Tactile Plus gives teachers a purpose-built platform rather than a retrofitted mainstream tool.

This distinction matters enormously. When educators are trained on a tool designed from the ground up for accessibility — rather than one patched to be "screen-reader compatible" after the fact — their confidence in the classroom increases dramatically. They know the platform behaves predictably with assistive technology. They understand its logic. They can troubleshoot with their students rather than stumbling alongside them.

ProGame Tactile Plus's browser-based architecture removes procurement bottlenecks entirely: no lab installation, no device purchasing cycle, no IT administrator dependency. Combined with NS360's deployment across 1,200+ schools in 15 Indian states, this is inclusive coding upskilling that has already demonstrated scalability at the ground level.

How Schools and State Education Departments Can Implement These Programmes

For IT/CS Department Heads in inclusive mainstream schools and Samagra Shiksha Inclusion Cell officers, the implementation pathway is practical and sequenced. Begin with a straightforward needs assessment: how many students with visual impairments are currently enrolled, and which teachers are responsible for their technology education? Identify two or three champion teachers for initial orientation — educators who will build internal expertise and model inclusive coding instruction for colleagues.

Next, procure accessible tools aligned to your learners' grade levels. ProGame Tactile Plus is purpose-built for this context and integrates readily into existing school timetables from Class 5 onwards. Schedule structured upskilling sessions that combine platform familiarisation with classroom pedagogy.

NS360's credibility in this space is well established — recognised by MIT Solve, the ElevatED Award from Dell Technologies India and MeitY, and 14 national and international honours in total. Schools and state departments can connect directly through nextskills360.in, where NS360's Hyderabad-headquartered team is ready to support implementation at both school and state scale.

Building a Future-Ready, Inclusive Coding Culture in Your School

Teacher upskilling is not a one-time workshop — it is the foundation of an ongoing culture of inclusive, future-ready education. Schools that invest in inclusion-aware robotics and coding training today will not only meet CBSE's 2026-27 mandates more confidently; they will be better aligned with the broader vision of NEP 2020, which places equitable access to computational thinking at the heart of school education reform.

Tools like ProGame Tactile Plus, paired with structured educator training and institutional commitment, allow special schools and inclusive mainstream schools to deliver meaningful, standards-aligned coding education to every student — regardless of visual ability. No student has to sit out the lesson while their peers code. No teacher has to improvise with tools built for a different classroom.

Truly future-ready skilling means every child has a pathway. When schools get teacher upskilling right — when they choose inclusive coding education for visually impaired students as a deliberate priority rather than an afterthought — they create classrooms where the promise of coding education belongs to everyone.

# Top EdTech Companies in Hyderabad Driving Inclusion 2026

Hyderabad has quietly become India's most consequential hub for inclusive school EdTech — and in 2026, the companies emerging from this city are redefining what accessible learning looks like for millions of students with disabilities. While global EdTech chases device-rich classrooms, a handful of Hyderabad-based innovators are solving for the students mainstream platforms routinely overlook. Next Skills 360 is one name that keeps surfacing at the intersection of inclusion, coding education, and genuine school impact.

Why Hyderabad Has Become India's Inclusive EdTech Capital

Hyderabad's identity has evolved well beyond its software outsourcing legacy. Today, the city hosts a dense ecosystem of education-focused startups, supported by forward-thinking state initiatives like the Telangana AI Mission and a robust network of incubators including T-Hub, AIC-IIITH, and the Indian School of Business's DLabs. This infrastructure has created fertile ground for EdTech companies solving real classroom problems — not just building products for well-resourced private schools.

The policy tailwind is equally significant. NEP 2020 mandates computational thinking and coding from Class 6, and CBSE has now formalised 100 hours per year of Computational Thinking and AI for Classes 6–8, effective academic year 2026-27. This mandate creates immediate, system-wide demand for coding education at scale. For Hyderabad-based EdTech companies that have spent years building for under-resourced and underserved classrooms — including those serving students with disabilities — that demand is an opportunity they are uniquely prepared to meet.

The Inclusion Gap That Most EdTech Companies Still Ignore

India's school system is one of the largest in the world — 14.7 lakh schools and 24.8 crore students (UDISE+ 2024-25). NEP 2020 explicitly champions inclusive education, yet the lived reality for students with visual impairments tells a different story. When it comes to coding and computational thinking, these students are almost entirely excluded.

The reason is structural. The overwhelming majority of coding platforms — including well-funded, widely adopted ones — are built around visual interaction: dragging blocks on a screen, reading colour-coded menus, interpreting graphical output. For a student with a visual impairment in Class 5 or above, this design assumption is not an inconvenience — it is a complete barrier. No workaround, no teacher adaptation, and no goodwill can bridge that gap if the platform itself was never designed with them in mind.

With CBSE's 2026-27 computational thinking mandate approaching, schools that enrol visually impaired students face a pressing question: which EdTech partner has actually solved this problem?

Next Skills 360: Hyderabad's Most Recognised Inclusive EdTech Company

Next Skills 360 EdTech Private Limited (NS360), headquartered in Hyderabad and founded in 2020, has built one of India's most credible inclusive skilling programmes for school students. The numbers are substantial: 240,000+ students impacted, 1,200+ schools, presence across 15 Indian states, and 10,000+ trained educators since inception.

Recognition has followed the impact. NS360 has received 14 national and international awards, including selection as an MIT Solver, the AI for Humanity Prize from the McGovern Foundation, the ElevatED Award from Dell Technologies India and MeitY, and the SKOCH Award for the Telangana Early Coders (TeC) project. The company's approach to teaching coding without computers is the subject of a Harvard Business Publishing case study — "Teaching Coding Without Computers" (case W37092) — lending rare academic credibility to its model. NS360's inclusive skilling work has also been covered by The Hindu Business Line, reflecting its growing national profile beyond the startup circuit.

ProGame Tactile Plus: Accessible Block Coding for Visually Impaired Students

At the heart of NS360's inclusive coding offering is ProGame Tactile Plus — a browser-based, block-based programming environment designed specifically for students with visual impairments, built for accessible navigation with assistive technology, for Classes 5 and above.

What makes it genuinely inclusive is the deliberate removal of visual assumptions. ProGame Tactile Plus is screen-reader compatible, operates entirely through a browser — eliminating the app installation barriers that many special schools encounter — and structures block programming logic in a way that does not depend on conventional visual drag-and-drop interaction. Students navigate, build, and execute code using assistive technology, independently and meaningfully.

It sits within NS360's full inclusive coding ladder: ProGame Tactile (an audio-first Android app for foundational coding), ProGame Tactile Plus (browser-based block coding), and ProGame Tactile Pro (Python programming at a vocational and career level, for Classes 8 and above). This progression ensures no student hits a ceiling. NS360 has impacted 500+ students with disabilities through these inclusive skilling programmes — a number that reflects genuine classroom deployment, not pilot experiments. For special schools and Samagra Shiksha inclusion cells evaluating partners in 2026, this depth of purpose-built provision is rare.

What School Leaders and Inclusion Cells Should Look for in an EdTech Partner

For IT/CS department heads at inclusive mainstream schools, special school administrators, and state Samagra Shiksha inclusion officers, choosing an EdTech partner for coding education requires a sharper checklist than it does for standard deployments. Here are five criteria worth applying rigorously:

1. Does the solution work without assuming full visual ability? Any platform requiring unmodified visual interaction fails this test immediately for students with visual impairments.

2. Is it aligned with NEP 2020 and the CBSE computational thinking mandate? Compliance from 2026-27 is non-negotiable, and inclusion cells must ensure visually impaired students are not silently exempted from that 100-hour requirement.

3. Does the company have proven deployment scale? NS360's 1,200+ schools and 15-state presence demonstrate real-world operational capability — not just a convincing demo.

4. Does it come with educator training infrastructure? NS360 has trained 10,000+ educators across India, meaning teachers are not left to figure out inclusive delivery on their own.

5. Is there credible third-party validation? A Harvard Business Publishing case study, MIT Solver status, and partnerships with institutions like UNICEF India and Infosys Foundation are not marketing claims — they are independently verifiable markers of organisational credibility.

2026 Is the Year to Close the Inclusive Coding Gap in Indian Schools

The CBSE computational thinking mandate for Classes 6–8 takes effect from academic year 2026-27. For schools with visually impaired students on their rolls, that mandate creates an unambiguous obligation: no school can credibly claim compliance if its students with visual impairments are excluded from that 100 hours of learning. Inclusion is not a parallel track — it is a requirement.

NS360's approach has earned the confidence of significant institutional partners. Infosys Foundation and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) have both partnered with NS360 on its Skilling WITHOUT Computers project — organisations that apply serious due diligence before lending their names to an EdTech initiative. That institutional backing reflects confidence in NS360's model, its reach, and its integrity of execution.

As India moves to fulfil its NEP 2020 promise of truly inclusive education, Hyderabad-based EdTech companies — and NS360 in particular — are positioned at the leading edge of what accessible, scalable, curriculum-aligned skilling can look like for every student, regardless of ability.

# Top EdTech Companies in Hyderabad to Watch in 2026

Hyderabad has quietly become one of India's most dynamic hubs for education technology, producing startups that are redefining how students learn coding, AI, and future-ready skills. Among the city's most compelling EdTech innovators are companies building not just for mainstream classrooms but for every learner — including students with visual impairments who have long been excluded from the coding revolution. If you are an educator, school administrator, or policy maker searching for the top EdTech companies in Hyderabad, this guide breaks down who is leading, why they matter, and what makes inclusive innovation the benchmark to watch in 2026.

Why Hyderabad Has Emerged as India's EdTech Innovation Capital

Hyderabad's rise as an EdTech powerhouse is no accident. The city brings together a deep STEM talent pool, progressive state government support, and active institutional backing from bodies like HYSEA and the Telangana AI Mission — creating genuinely fertile ground for education innovators to build, test, and scale. MeitY-aligned initiatives and a culture of cross-sector collaboration have only accelerated that momentum.

One company earning national and international recognition from within this ecosystem is Next Skills 360 (NS360), headquartered in Hyderabad. NS360 has received the HYSEA Best Software Product Award, the HY10 Hot 10 Startups Award, and recognition from the Telangana AI Mission — strong validation of its standing as one of Hyderabad's most impactful EdTech innovators. As Hyderabad-based EdTechs increasingly attract global attention, the city is cementing its reputation not just as an IT capital but as a genuine laboratory for education innovation that matters at scale.

What Makes a Great EdTech Company in 2026: The Inclusion Benchmark

The standard for what constitutes a great EdTech company is shifting decisively. In 2026, the most credible innovators are not simply those with feature-rich platforms — they are companies building solutions that are curriculum-aligned, accessible, and genuinely scalable across India's enormously diverse school infrastructure.

NEP 2020 mandates computational thinking from Class 6, and CBSE has mandated 100 hours per year of Computational Thinking and AI for Classes 6–8 from academic year 2026-27. Yet India has 14.7 lakh schools and 24.8 crore school students, and only 57% of schools have working computers. Solutions that depend entirely on devices exclude nearly half the country before they even begin.

The emerging benchmark goes further: inclusive EdTech — solutions that deliberately serve students with disabilities, including visual impairments — is becoming a critical marker of a company's depth, seriousness, and social impact. Companies that clear this bar are the ones genuinely worth watching.

Next Skills 360: Hyderabad's Standout Inclusive EdTech Company

Next Skills 360 EdTech Private Limited (NS360), founded in 2020 and headquartered in Hyderabad, is widely regarded as one of India's most innovative K-12 EdTech companies in the inclusive skilling space. The numbers speak for themselves: 240,000+ students impacted, 1,200+ schools deployed, presence across 15 Indian states, 10,000+ trainers and educators trained, and 500+ students with disabilities reached through inclusive skilling programmes.

NS360 has earned 14 international and national recognitions, including MIT Solver, the AI for Humanity Prize (McGovern Foundation), Google AppScale Academy (Batch of 2022), and the ElevatED Award (Dell Technologies India and MeitY). A business school case study titled "Teaching Coding Without Computers" (W37092) is published through Harvard Business Publishing. Strategic partnerships with Infosys Foundation and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) further underscore NS360's credibility. For educators and administrators searching for Hyderabad's most internationally recognised inclusive EdTech company, NS360 stands in a category of its own.

ProGame Tactile Plus: Accessible Coding for Students with Visual Impairments

For special schools serving visually impaired students and inclusive mainstream schools, ProGame Tactile Plus is the most purpose-built coding solution available from any Hyderabad EdTech company today.

ProGame Tactile Plus is a browser-based, block-based programming environment designed specifically for students with visual impairments, built for fully accessible navigation with assistive technology, and intended for Classes 5 and above. The problem it addresses is straightforward but long-neglected: virtually every mainstream coding platform is visually oriented, making it inaccessible to blind or low-vision learners.

ProGame Tactile Plus sits at the heart of NS360's Inclusive Skilling suite, alongside ProGame Tactile — an audio-first Android app for coding — and ProGame Tactile Pro, which teaches Python programming at a vocational and career level for Classes 8 and above. Together, these products form a progressive, disability-centred learning pathway. The suite aligns with Samagra Shiksha inclusion mandates, and NS360's inclusive programmes have been covered by The Hindu Business Line, reinforcing their credibility for administrators evaluating serious partners.

Other Notable EdTech Innovations from Hyderabad's Ecosystem

Hyderabad's EdTech depth extends across multiple learning domains, and NS360's own product range offers a compelling illustration of what the city's innovators are capable of building.

xSTREAM Labs is a complete robotics and AI kit — hardware, software, a Classes 6–12 curriculum, and teacher training — designed for STEM labs, smart classrooms, and Atal Innovation Labs, ensuring a school's robotics programme is active from week one. Chitram is an AI-powered multilingual vocabulary platform for Classes 1–5, helping government primary schools meet NIPUN Bharat foundational literacy targets through draw-to-learn practice with personalised LLM-driven feedback in both mother tongue and English. And the ProGame Kit — backed by a granted Indian patent — delivers hands-on coding with zero device dependency, reaching schools where computers, internet, and electricity cannot be assumed.

Taken together, these products reflect a Hyderabad ecosystem producing EdTech innovation that is practical, policy-aligned, and built honestly for India's real classroom conditions.

How Schools Can Partner with Hyderabad's Top EdTech Innovators in 2026

For school IT heads, special educators, and state education departments evaluating EdTech partnerships in 2026, the right framework covers four essentials: curriculum alignment, accessibility standards, scalability, and teacher training support.

On all four counts, NS360 presents a strong case. ProGame Tactile Plus is CBSE and NEP 2020 aligned, built for screen-reader and assistive technology navigation, and backed by a company with 1,200+ school deployments across 15 states. For any school serving students with visual impairments — whether a dedicated special school or an inclusive mainstream institution — it represents the current benchmark in accessible coding education.

Top EdTech Companies in Hyderabad to Watch in 2026

Discover how AI skilling for underprivileged students is becoming a reality with ProGame Tactile Plus — NS360's browser-based coding tool built for visually impaired learners.

# Every Student Deserves to Code: How ProGame Tactile Plus Is Making AI Education Accessible in India

Every student deserves a seat at the future of technology — yet for millions of visually impaired and differently-abled children across India, AI and coding education remains out of reach. The conversation around AI skilling for underprivileged students is growing louder, but tools that truly serve these learners are still rare. ProGame Tactile Plus by Next Skills 360 is changing that, one accessible block at a time.

Why AI Skilling for Underprivileged Students Cannot Wait

India's National Education Policy 2020 places inclusive education at the heart of its reform agenda, mandating equitable access to digital and future-ready skills for every learner. Yet on the ground, a stark gap persists. When we talk about AI skilling for underprivileged students, we need to expand the definition well beyond economic marginalisation — students with visual impairments and other disabilities are among the most underserved learners in India's coding education landscape.

State-level Samagra Shiksha Inclusion Cells are mandated to bridge this gap, but genuinely accessible tools remain critically scarce. Most coding curricula are designed for sighted learners, leaving special schools and inclusive mainstream classrooms without viable pathways to AI and computational thinking education.

Next Skills 360 EdTech Private Limited has already impacted 500+ students with disabilities through its inclusive skilling programmes since 2020 — a meaningful start, and a clear signal of what becomes possible when EdTech is designed with accessibility at its core rather than tacked on as an afterthought.

The Specific Barriers Visually Impaired Students Face in Coding Education

For educators at special schools and inclusive mainstream institutions, the barriers to inclusive coding for visually impaired students are well understood — and deeply frustrating. They tend to fall into three consistent categories.

First, visual-first interfaces. The vast majority of block programming platforms — including many widely deployed in Indian schools — are built around drag-and-drop interactions that are entirely inaccessible to screen-reader users. A student who cannot see the canvas simply cannot participate.

Second, poor screen-reader compatibility. Even platforms that claim accessibility often fail the practical test. Block elements are unlabelled, navigation is inconsistent, and the keyboard-only experience is broken or incomplete. Tools built for NVDA or JAWS as a genuine priority, rather than a compliance checkbox, are exceptionally rare in the K-12 EdTech market.

Third, teacher unpreparedness. Most educators in special schools and inclusive classrooms have received little or no training in assistive technology for coding education. Without teacher confidence, even the best tool goes unused. Addressing this barrier requires solutions that are genuinely intuitive for educators, not just technically accessible for students.

What Makes ProGame Tactile Plus Different

ProGame Tactile Plus is a browser-based, block-based programming environment built specifically for students with visual impairments, designed for Classes 5 and above. Unlike most coding platforms where accessibility is retrofitted, Tactile Plus is architected from the ground up for assistive technology navigation — meaning screen readers like NVDA and JAWS work as intended, without workarounds.

Being browser-based carries real practical advantages for schools. There is no app installation, no device-specific compatibility issue, and no procurement bottleneck — any computer with a browser and a screen reader can run it. For special schools operating with limited IT infrastructure, that simplicity matters enormously.

Tactile Plus is also distinct from its sibling product, ProGame Tactile — an audio-first Android app that introduces coding to visually impaired learners. Together, they represent a deliberate learning progression: Tactile as an accessible entry point, and Tactile Plus as a richer, browser-based block programming environment for students ready to go deeper. This is assistive technology for coding education done thoughtfully — not a single tool, but a connected pathway.

How Schools and State Departments Can Deploy Inclusive AI Skilling at Scale

For Samagra Shiksha Inclusion Cells and state education departments, scalability and procurement simplicity are non-negotiable. Next Skills 360 understands this reality well. Since its founding in Hyderabad in 2020, NS360 has been deployed across 1,200+ schools in 12+ Indian states, with a trained educator network of 10,000+ teachers and trainers — demonstrating that its programmes are built for systemic adoption, not pilot-only environments.

As a browser-based solution, ProGame Tactile Plus aligns naturally with Samagra Shiksha inclusion mandates and can slot into existing school IT infrastructure without new hardware procurement. State departments evaluating inclusive digital skilling programmes can deploy it at scale without the bottlenecks that typically slow EdTech adoption down.

NS360's credibility with institutional and government buyers is further strengthened by significant national and international recognition — including selection as an MIT Solver, receipt of the AI for Humanity Prize by the McGovern Foundation, and the ElevatED Award by Dell Technologies India and MeitY. These are not ceremonial honours; they reflect a programme that has been rigorously evaluated and validated by global and national bodies alike.

Real Impact: What Inclusive Coding Skilling Looks Like in Practice

Picture a Class 7 student with visual impairment in a special school in Telangana. Using ProGame Tactile Plus on a school computer with NVDA enabled, she navigates the block programming environment entirely through keyboard commands. She sequences logic blocks, builds simple programmes, and receives audio feedback at each step — never once requiring visual confirmation to understand what her code is doing.

This is not an accommodation. This is genuine participation in computational thinking education — the same foundational skill being taught to sighted peers across India's mainstream schools. By Class 8, she can progress to ProGame Tactile Pro, NS360's Python programming pathway for visually impaired learners, moving from block-based logic to career-ready coding skills.

This progression sits within a broader NS360 impact story: 240,000+ students impacted across India since 2020, spanning diverse geographies, school types, and learner profiles. Inclusive skilling is not a separate track — it is part of the same mission of making every Indian child future-ready.

Building a Truly Inclusive AI Skilling Ecosystem in Indian Schools

Inclusive AI skilling is not an act of charity — it is equity-driven future readiness. Every IT and CS department head in an inclusive mainstream school, and every administrator within a state inclusion cell, has both the mandate and the opportunity to close the accessibility gap in their coding curriculum today.

The first step is an honest audit: Are your current coding tools screen-reader compatible? Can a visually impaired student in your school participate fully in the same coding lesson as their sighted peers? If the answer is no — or uncertain — ProGame Tactile Plus offers a ready-to-deploy solution that requires no special infrastructure and no expert technical staff to implement.

Next Skills 360's inclusive skilling suite — from ProGame Tactile (audio-first Android app) to ProGame Tactile Plus (browser-based block programming) to ProGame Tactile Pro (Python for career readiness) — provides a complete learning pathway from Class 5 to career, designed specifically for visually impaired learners in Indian schools and vocational centres.

The infrastructure exists. The recognition is established. The pathway is clear. What remains is the decision to deploy it.

AI Skilling for Underprivileged Students: Inclusive EdTech in 2026

How the 2026 education policy is reshaping inclusive coding in Indian schools — and how ProGame Tactile Plus empowers visually impaired students with block programming.

# 2026 Education Policy: Inclusive Coding for Visually Impaired Students — What Schools Need to Know

India's 2026 education policy landscape is placing inclusive digital skilling at the centre of school reform, yet most coding tools still leave visually impaired learners behind. As Samagra Shiksha strengthens its inclusion mandates, schools need solutions that go beyond ramps and Braille — they need accessible programming environments. ProGame Tactile Plus by Next Skills 360 is purpose-built for exactly this moment.

What the 2026 Education Policy Means for Inclusive Digital Skilling

India's education reform momentum is unmistakable. The full implementation of NEP 2020, combined with evolving Samagra Shiksha inclusion guidelines and the foundational learning priorities embedded in the NIPUN/FLN framework, is creating a clear policy directive: digital and coding skills must be accessible to every student, including those with disabilities.

For school leaders, IT department heads, and State Inclusion Cell officials, this is no longer a peripheral concern. Samagra Shiksha's CWSN (Children with Special Needs) support frameworks now require demonstrable outcomes in inclusive digital learning. Annual UDISE reporting and grant accountability structures are increasingly scrutinising how schools are bridging the digital participation gap for students with visual impairments and other disabilities.

The 2026 education policy environment, in short, is raising the bar. Coding is becoming a core competency — and equity demands that no learner be excluded from that opportunity simply because existing tools were never designed with them in mind.

The Coding Access Gap: Why Visually Impaired Students Are Still Left Out

Walk into most school computer labs delivering coding education today, and the tools in use — block-based visual platforms, drag-and-drop interfaces, graphical IDEs — share one critical design flaw: they are built entirely around sight. For students with visual impairments, these environments are not just challenging; they are structurally inaccessible.

Screen readers cannot interpret most coding platforms meaningfully. Visual block arrangements carry no audio equivalent. The result is that students who are blind or have low vision are routinely excluded from computer science periods — not by intent, but by design oversight.

This exclusion is neither inevitable nor acceptable. Next Skills 360 has already impacted 500+ students with disabilities across India since 2020 through its inclusive skilling programmes, demonstrating that with the right tools, visually impaired learners can engage with coding confidently and independently. The gap is real — but it is solvable. What schools need is a purpose-built solution that works with the assistive technology students already rely on, not against it.

ProGame Tactile Plus: Browser-Based Block Programming Built for Accessibility

ProGame Tactile Plus by Next Skills 360 is a browser-based, block-based programming environment designed from the ground up for students with visual impairments. Built for Classes 5 and above, it enables accessible navigation using assistive technology — meaning students can engage with coding concepts using the screen readers and accessibility tools they already use in their daily learning.

The browser-based architecture is a significant practical advantage. There are no app installation barriers, no device-specific compatibility issues, and no dependence on proprietary hardware. If a school has a browser and a screen-reader-enabled device, ProGame Tactile Plus is ready to run.

Crucially, the platform empowers students to learn independently and with dignity — navigating blocks, understanding logic structures, and building programmes through accessible interaction patterns. For inclusion coordinators and IT heads, this means coding education can finally be delivered to visually impaired students within existing computer lab time, without requiring a separate, parallel infrastructure. ProGame Tactile Plus does not adapt around accessibility — it is built for it.

How Schools and Inclusion Cells Can Deploy ProGame Tactile Plus

Deploying ProGame Tactile Plus is designed to be practical across three distinct institutional contexts.

Special Schools for the Visually Impaired can integrate ProGame Tactile Plus as a structured core period within their computer science or vocational skilling timetable. The browser-based format suits existing computer lab setups with screen-reader-enabled devices.

Inclusive mainstream school IT and CS department heads can schedule dedicated sessions for CWSN students within regular computer lab time — no parallel lab or separate infrastructure required. Students with visual impairments join the coding curriculum meaningfully, alongside their peers.

State Samagra Shiksha Inclusion Cells can leverage ProGame Tactile Plus as a district-level inclusive coding pilot, with the confidence that Next Skills 360 has the implementation depth to support it. NS360 has been deployed in 1,200+ schools across 12+ Indian states, has trained 10,000+ educators nationwide, and has demonstrated the capacity to scale rapidly without procurement bottlenecks — making it a credible partner for state-level rollout.

Aligning ProGame Tactile Plus with 2026 Education Policy Goals and Compliance Needs

ProGame Tactile Plus directly addresses the intersection of multiple policy imperatives that schools and state departments must now satisfy.

NEP 2020's equity and inclusion vision calls explicitly for technology-enabled learning that reaches every child. The Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act mandates reasonable accommodation in education, which increasingly encompasses digital and coding participation. Samagra Shiksha's CWSN frameworks require schools to demonstrate active inclusion outcomes — not merely enrolment figures.

Adopting ProGame Tactile Plus enables schools and state departments to generate measurable, reportable inclusion outcomes — participation in coding sessions, progression through programming modules, and demonstrable skill development among visually impaired learners. These outcomes are directly relevant to UDISE reporting, Samagra Shiksha grant documentation, and state-level inclusion audits.

In the 2026 education policy landscape, schools that can demonstrate inclusive digital skilling will be better positioned for continued funding, recognition, and compliance — making ProGame Tactile Plus both an equity investment and a strategic one.

Next Steps: Bringing Accessible Coding to Your School in 2026

The 2026 education policy environment is rewarding schools and state departments that move decisively on inclusive digital learning. The tools now exist to ensure that visually impaired students are full participants in the coding generation — not afterthoughts.

For schools already on the inclusion journey, ProGame Tactile Plus fits within a broader accessible skilling pathway. ProGame Tactile, NS360's audio-first Android app, offers an entry point for foundational coding learning. ProGame Tactile Pro then takes students from Classes 8 upward into vocational Python programming with three progressive levels through to career-ready proficiency. Together, these solutions form a complete, accessible coding progression for visually impaired learners from middle school through to vocational readiness.

2026 Education Policy: Inclusive Coding for Visually Impaired

Discover how leading edtech companies in India are making coding accessible for visually impaired students. See how NS360's ProGame Tactile Plus leads the way.

When we talk about edtech companies transforming Indian education, the conversation too often stops at screens, apps, and broadband. But what about the 8 million+ students with visual impairments in India — do the promises of digital learning reach them too? A handful of purpose-driven edtech companies are finally asking that question out loud, and Next Skills 360 is building the answer.

What Sets Truly Inclusive EdTech Companies Apart

Genuine inclusion in education technology means more than adding an accessibility toggle or meeting a compliance checklist. It means designing from the ground up with the most underserved learner at the centre — not as an afterthought, but as the starting point.

Too many edtech companies treat accessibility as a retrofit: a feature added after the core product is built, rarely tested with actual users with disabilities, and even more rarely adopted in real classrooms. Disability-first design, by contrast, produces tools that work better for everyone — a principle sometimes called the curb-cut effect.

India's policy environment is now creating real tailwind. NEP 2020 explicitly mandates inclusive education, and the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan has a dedicated inclusion cell working to bring children with special needs into the mainstream learning fold. For edtech companies willing to go beyond the obvious market, this is both a moral imperative and a structural opportunity. The most impactful companies are those that solve hardest problems first.

The Coding Gap: Why Visually Impaired Students Are Left Behind

Computer science and coding education has a structural accessibility problem. Almost every popular platform — block-based drag-and-drop environments, colour-coded visual interfaces, mouse-driven IDEs — is designed around sight. Screen readers, which visually impaired students depend on, are largely incompatible with these tools. The result is a near-total exclusion of blind and low-vision learners from one of the most important skill areas of the 21st century.

For IT and CS department heads in inclusive mainstream schools, this creates an impossible situation: they are expected to deliver coding curricula to all students, but the tools they have simply do not work for students with visual impairments. Special schools face the same gap with even fewer resources. State inclusion cell officers under Samagra Shiksha see the policy mandate clearly — but workable, scalable solutions are scarce.

This is not a small problem. Next Skills 360 has already impacted 500+ students with disabilities through its inclusive skilling programmes since 2020 — a number that reflects both the depth of the unmet need and the early scale of purposeful intervention.

How ProGame Tactile Plus Bridges the Accessibility Gap

ProGame Tactile Plus is NS360's purpose-built answer to the coding accessibility gap. It is a browser-based, block-based programming environment designed specifically for students with visual impairments, built from the ground up for accessible navigation using assistive technology — including screen readers and full keyboard navigation — with no reliance on sight at any stage of the learning experience.

This is not a generic coding platform with accessibility bolted on. Every design decision in ProGame Tactile Plus begins with the blind or low-vision learner in mind. It is designed for students in Classes 5 and above, making it appropriate for upper primary and secondary levels in both special schools and inclusive mainstream schools.

ProGame Tactile Plus sits within NS360's broader Inclusive Skilling suite, which offers a complete learning pathway: ProGame Tactile, an audio-first Android app for introductory coding; ProGame Tactile Plus, the browser-based programming environment; and ProGame Tactile Pro, which takes students from Class 8 onwards into Python programming at a vocational and career-ready level. Together, they offer a structured, progressive route from foundational coding to employability.

NS360 Among India's Leading EdTech Companies for School Skilling

Next Skills 360 EdTech Private Limited is an Indian K-12 edtech company founded in 2020 and headquartered in Hyderabad. Its mission spans coding, AI, future-ready skills, and inclusive skilling for school students across India.

The scale NS360 has achieved in a short time speaks to the credibility and replicability of its approach. Since 2020, the company has been deployed in 1,200+ schools across 12+ Indian states, impacted 240,000+ students, and trained 10,000+ trainers and educators. Its flagship ProGame Kit holds a granted patent in India and was the subject of a Harvard Business Review case study titled "Teaching Coding Without Computers" (HBR case study W37092).

NS360 has earned 12 international and national recognitions, including selection as an MIT Solver, the AI for Humanity Prize from the McGovern Foundation, and the ElevatED Award from Dell Technologies India and MeitY. For school leaders and government officials evaluating edtech companies for large-scale deployment, this combination of proven reach and independent validation is a meaningful differentiator.

What School Leaders and State Officials Should Look For

When evaluating coding tools for visually impaired students, IT and CS department heads and Samagra Shiksha inclusion cell officers should move beyond brochure claims and ask practical questions:

- Is it screen-reader compatible out of the box? ProGame Tactile Plus is built for assistive technology navigation — it does not require workarounds or special configurations.
- Does it require device procurement or lab infrastructure? As a browser-based platform, ProGame Tactile Plus reduces infrastructure dependencies significantly.
- Is it designed for the right age group? Yes — ProGame Tactile Plus is designed for Classes 5 and above, aligning with upper primary and secondary curricula.
- Is teacher training practical and included? NS360's track record of training 10,000+ educators demonstrates a deployment model built for real classrooms, not just pilot labs.
- Can it scale to district or state level? NS360's presence across 12+ states and 1,200+ schools shows it is built for system-level deployment, not just isolated pilots.

These criteria separate genuine inclusive tools from surface-level compliance.

Building an Inclusive Future: The Road Ahead for EdTech Companies

The next frontier for edtech companies in India is not simply vernacular content or low-bandwidth delivery — as important as those are. It is zero-exclusion design: ensuring that no learner, regardless of ability, is structurally locked out of the skills that will define economic participation in the decades ahead.

NEP 2020's inclusion mandates and Samagra Shiksha's dedicated funding streams provide the policy and financial infrastructure for this shift. What has been missing is purpose-built, India-relevant technology that works in real school conditions — in special schools, in inclusive mainstream classrooms, and at the scale of state-level rollouts.

NS360's Inclusive Skilling suite, anchored by ProGame Tactile Plus, represents what that technology looks like when it is designed with intention. It is not a global platform adapted for India. It is built here, tested here, and already delivering results across the country. As India accelerates towards its goal of an equitable, future-ready education system, the edtech companies that will matter most are those solving for the learners who need it most.
